Given the great tradition that characterizes the Island of La Palma and the interest that the Zarzuela Genre continues to arouse in its inhabitants, for 15 years (from 2009 to 2024) the Círculo Palmero Association for the Diffusion of Zarzuela in collaboration with Artífex ProArt S.L, and with the help of the Island Council of La Palma, the Hon. The City Council of Santa Cruz de La Palma, in addition to other public and private entities, has carried out shows of great artistic solvency, in which it has sought to keep alive the fans of the La Palma public, which has historically shown its predilection for Zarzuela. Thus, since 2015, a further step has been taken in order to consolidate the annual event and put all means so that the Island of La Palma is positioned as a center for the dissemination and promotion of the aforementioned genre.

Thus, the LA PALMA SPANISH MUSIC AND ZARZUELA FESTIVAL was born, placing the Island, since its first edition in 2015, in a mandatory point of reference for all those fans of Zarzuela, an event that fortunately goes recovering its rightful place.
